"You may ..." とか "You may not ..."

UTAU, or Vocal Synthesizer Tool UTAU formally, is a fanmade vocal synthesis program developed by Ameya/Ayame.
Unlike the Vocaloid platform distributed commercially by Yamaha, it is a non-commercial shareware (yet the donation is not compulsory).
Another feature that differentiate UTAU from Vocaloid is UTAU platform only provides vocal synthesis function. In other words, users have to download a voicebank optionally except for the attached voicebank known as Defoko.
She has a voice bank which coordinated from actual woman that can use with UATU.
Voice bank produced by a lot of her volunteers and supporters. And it will continue up-dating and enhancing.
She would be sing like a human if you practice her voice tuning.
Exactly, she is a virtual DIVA for everyone.
A. No. VOCALOID is the name and trademark for the singing synthesizer commercially developed by YAMAHA Corporation. Though each particular voicebank such as Hatsune Miku based on the synthesizer is called VOCALOID too, Teto is not the case. Teto is based on another singing synthesizer and so she is not a VOCALOID.
Q. What technology is Teto's singing based on?
A. Technically, Teto is just a voicebank made for a generic singing synthesizer named UTAU. UTAU was developed by an individual developer Ameya/Ayame as a donationware and it is unrelated to Teto by itself. Teto sings by installing her voicebank to UTAU as an add-on.
Q. Who created Teto?
A. A non-profit and just-for-fun group of individuals who love her.

「歌うまいね」が "You're a good singer" だったりするぐらいだし、例に挙がった方々は立派に "also a singer" で通ると思います。
- Kasane Teto is a character
- Kasane Teto is a voicebank
- Kasane Teto is a (virtual) singer
"Teto is a combination (of a character and a voicebank)"
