概要
国際法学者ヘンリー・ホイートンの代表的な著作 Elements of International Law が漢語訳されたときのタイトル名。
国際法の何たるかを東アジア諸国に伝え、各地域の国内政治改革や外交に大きな影響を与えた。
特に日本では、最初に刊行された清朝よりも大きく素早い反応を生みだし、幕末明治維新に及ぼした影響は無視できないものがあった。
2015年4月からBS日テレで『月刊ホットドッグ・プレスTV』（月刊Hot-Dog PRESSTV）がスタートした。
司会は山崎弘也（ザキヤマ）が担当。放送は不定期（第1弾は2015年4月7日）。
テレビ番組化は、2015年3月14日にZeppダイバーシティで開催されたディスコイベント「HDP Night of 80s」で山崎によるサプライズ宣言で告知された。
