je ne sais quoi
NOUN: A quality or attribute that is difficult to describe or express:
“Fishing has lacked a certain je ne sais quoi in terms of its public image, as all activities must that involve beer, worms and one-size-fits-all gimme caps” (Charles Leerhsen).

I heard a joke in French once. My French is good enough to understand the
joke, but not good enough to reproduce it in the original French.
A man volunteers for an experimental brain surgery. They remove a quarter
of his brain, and ask him a question (I don't remember what the question
is), which he answers. They then remove another quarter of his brain, and
ask him the question again, and he answers. They remove one more quarter,
leaving only one quarter of his brain, and ask him the question again, at
which point he responds, (in English) "I'm sorry, I can only speak English
now."
I would be most grateful if somebody could post or e-mail me the complete
joke in French.

Huit heures tirées
Un sale boulot
Les traits tirés
Un sale bistrot
Un sale hiver
Un sale métro
Un fait divers
Ah; des journaux
Heureusement l'on dort.
Pour moi toute seule,
La nuit vient de tomber.
Pour moi toute seule,
Le rêve a commencé.
Il finira demain matin,
Je le sais bien,
Mais je suis bien,
Bien, bien, bien...
...Je me parle tout bas.
...Ne me dérangez pas!

(Probably a ref. to "la vie en rose" and skin color and how most French don't like eggs.)
85年アルバム「WELCOME TO THE LOST CHILD CLUB」でメジャーデビュー。
A group of French speakers in Japan are suing the governor of Tokyo after he described French as a failed language.
The 21 teachers and researchers are demanding compensation and an apology for the "insulting remarks" from Governor Shintaro Ishihara.
Mr Ishihara is accused of saying he was not surprised French did not qualify as an international language, as it was "a language which cannot count numbers".
