Beyond perfection. Just as Plato's "ideal forms" cannot exist in real though it is somehow perceived in reality, I could hardly find any recordings of Holst's first suite perfectly performed by real orchestras.
So, I created, with a virtual orchestra. There are things that are almost impossivle to achieve with real orchestras.

>I can't speak for the popularity of Mortal Kombat, as I know very little of the fighting games scene. So I will stick to answering your other questions.
>American media aren't often made into animes for a variety of reasons. The biggest of which is indeed probably the fact that the source material is often unknown or unpopular. That being said, many American TV shows are often more known than one might expect. Prison Break and 24 were massively popular. South Park is gaining prominence. And many people look back fondly with nostalgia at Full House. For these kinds of shows though, there really isn't any "need" to make them into anime. Animes are often adapted from manga or light novels, both of which are "still" mediums, and rely in part on the reader's imagination for depicting scenes. TV shows on the other hand don't need to be animated, as they already fully depict the scenes.
>Bethesda's games are indeed quite popular. As are games like Minecraft, Terraria, etc. There are also many Japanese gamers using Steam.
I will just answer to your question coz I don't know how popular Mortal Combat is; I don't know so much about what's going on in the fighting action games.
One thing I'm sure is that they hardly make amine from those [media? NOT SURE AMBIGUOUS -5point] in the United States for various reasons.
The biggest reason I assume is the lack of popularily of the contents.
Compared with that, TV shows are much well known to the public more than you expect. Prison Break and 24 are the good examples of which are very popular. South Park is getting more famous.
And, Full House has many fans who enjoy the time back in the year it was released.
I don' t see any reasons why they need to make anime out of these programs.
I think animes are made out of contents which often need readers to fill and strengthen the worlds with their imaginations.
Since characters and scenes aren't static in TV programs, these kinds don't need people's hands to get animated.
Games by Bethesda are popular here, as much as Minecraft, Terraria, and etc. Many of the Japanese gamers are using Steam.

What is /r/ryuusegai? What is the purpose of the sub?
[–]Masul1969[S] 8ポイント 3日前*
butakimudon says he made the sub as a home for people like VoiceOnFate, because at the time they were being driven out of newsokur. So basically it was a sub to protect and worship users like VoiceOnFate who went on huge rants and harassed people.
[–]Masul1969[S] 13ポイント 3日前*
ryuuseigai was essentially a sub that harbored people who believed the proper way to settle internet arguments was to fight it out in an all out flame war, and enjoyed watching flame wars happen. To them, being aggressive racist pieces of shit to each other is a sign of strength, and running away from internet arguments is a sign of cowardice.
[–]rabiiiii 3ポイント 3日前
That is... Interesting.
I can see why getting someone banned from Reddit would be seen as counter to that philosophy.
[–]Masul1969[S] 13ポイント 3日前
At least they follow through with their philosophy. If you look at the linked threads, mushroom actually doesn't have any posts that are in the negatives, even though he pissed off the entire sub. Instead of downvoting people they don't like, which they see as cowardly, they fight openly with words, which they see as brave.

It's interesting that Anglophone Reddit has many subs dedicated to making fun of (serious) drama on other subs, but no subs that I know of which are dedicated to actively producing and engaging in drama purely for fun.
Perhaps this is something we ought to create for ourselves?
There was an old skool "troll club," on Reddit years ago that was really, really fun, but their actions were deemed against the rules of the site and they were all IP banned.
[–]KaliYugazRevere the Admins, expel the barbarians! 3ポイント 3日前
Yes, I remember Game of Trolls. I was thinking more of a sub that attempted to keep the drama within itself, not bother other subs.

Do they also deny Japanese warcrimes? Because if so I want to spam this gif in that subreddit.
俺が海外時代に白人の友人と会話をしているときだって
友人 "Actually, Japanese are technically Chinks, right?" 「実際、日本人は技術的には中国人(卑下用語)だろ?」
俺 "Ya, I think so. But, Chinese have longer legs. something's different." 「ああ、俺はそう思う。だけど、中国人のほうが足が長い。なにかが違う。」

So in this subculture petty internet slap fights and name calling are a sign of manliness, not immaturity... Most interesting SRD post in a while IMO!

>In this chain of comments, butakimudon questions MushroomMountain. I'll translate.
B: You're acting like this doesn't concern you, but it's all your fault. How do you feel about that?
M: My feelings are "being flamed is scary". I know it's my fault, I'm the one in the center of it.
B: Do you think "I'm in the right, so this couldn't be helped?"
M: I think I'm in the right. I don't think this couldn't be helped. It could have gone better if I behaved differently.
B: You don't get it. Ryuuseigai was made for people like VoiceOnFate. You're a guest here. If you don't like them, you should be the one to leave.
M: I don't care if this is their homeground. He was banned because he was judged as unfit for Reddit by the admins. If the admins allowed him to stay, I wouldn't have banned him.
B: If you're a mod of ryuuseigai, fight him 1 vs 1 like a real ryuuseigai member. You're a coward for running to the admins.
M: I'm proud to be a coward. If someone break's reddit's rules, they should be reported to the admins. That's how proper redditors should behave, and it takes precedence over how proper ryuuseigai members should behave.
B: "Should behave". That kind of thinking is what makes you intolerant of others. People like you aren't fit for leadership, you're better off writing a book. If you want to be a more interesting person, abandon that kind of strict thinking. Don't push your views onto others. This all happened because you're not tolerant of others. That's the kind of person you are. That's all. Good bye.

Forbidding.

Wouldn't surprise me, Canadian charter is like a shittier hamfisted US style constitution for a country that didn't really have much use for one like it up until that point. Way to ruin everything and force Canada down the path of perpetually being America-lite liberal vershun, Pierre Trudeau.
Nice dish, though.

You can see more of his "corrections" and mushroom responding to them on the full page of the link with VOF's rant. Or follow the link on that page to VOF's full rant, which is on an outside website. There's about 100 times more than the stuff that I translated.

Are there any frequent users of /r/newsokur or 2ch's Kenmou board, who are also Japanese natives (that is, not western expatriates living in Japan, so sorry, /u/ITS_A_GUNDAAAM, this question doesn't apply to you), who hang out in English-language subreddits, or try to write English-language comments on Reddit? (At least, users that I don't know about. So, sorry, /u/money_learner, this question doesn't apply to you, either. I've seen you around English-language subreddits)
I've heard that Japanese people don't have a great command of English because of how English is taught in schools; as part of the Center exam (which emphasizes memorization). But I want to hear from Kenmoumen or /r/newsokur users who buck the trend and have a decent command of English. I know you're out there.../u/proper_lofi? /u/nonpoliop? /u/StarThrower-? /u/tamano_? /u/nanami-773? Which of you /r/newsokur or kenmomen participate in English-language subreddits or write Reddit comments in English?
