Letterの記載は、「Surprisingly, injected STAP cells contributed not only to the embryo but also to the placenta and fetalmembranes (Fig. 1b and Extended Data Fig. 1a–c) in 60% of the chimaeric embryos (Fig. 1c).」
で、Extended Data Fig. 1a–cは、「Chimaeric mouse with STAP cells derived from CD45+ cells of B6GFP/129/Sv mice (B6GFP, C57BL/6 line with cag-gfp transgene).」
Extended Data Fig. 1a–c

Examination of incorporated mRNAs in FI-SCs.(A) Expression of TSC marker genes…
>Therefore, the claim in the Obokata et al. paper that FI-SCs contribute to the placenta might have been based in error on contamination by TSCs, which are known to be organ stem cells (Tanaka et al. 1998).

not only to the embryo but also to the placenta and fetalmembranesと小保方さんの原稿にあったとしてもand fetal membranes と続いたときに気づくでしょ。
>These results support the view that the RNA-seq data contained transcripts from two major cell populations, with approximately 90% B6 cells having an ESC-like expression pattern and approximately 10% CD1-like cells having a TSC-like pattern. Therefore, the claim in the Obokata et al. paper that FI-SCs contribute to the placenta might have been based in error on contamination by TSCs, which are known to be organ stem cells (Tanaka et al. 1998).
"Mouse phenotypes: a Handbook of mutation analysis"
The authors claim that "Surprisingly, injected STAP cells contributed not only to the embryo but also to the placenta and fetal membranes (Fig. 1b and Extended Data Fig. 1a??"c) in 60% of the chimaeric embryos (Fig. 1c)." and they show the analysis of chimaeric embryos with placentas at E12.5. I'm sorry to say but that is normal in E12.5 chimaeric embryos produced by injection of wt ES cells into blastocyst, since the placental FETAL blood vessels and yolk sac mesoderm cells are derived from the ES-cell derived epiblast.
