多分分かる人には分かってるようですが、このスレ (というかこのノースカロライナ州BBS) に書き込んである英文は、様々な HN を (その時々の気分で) 使って同一人物が書いたものです。
英語圏のネイティブには、? な、まわりくどく不自然な表現になっているかもしれないが、日本語の原文を軽んじるのも嫌なので、こういう英文へと翻訳された。
機械翻訳は意味不明の度合いが著しい (特に、日本語 → 外国語 の場合その傾向が顕著、やはり日本人は地球文明にとって ‘エイリアン’ なのかなー!?) ので、面倒だが、自分の頭を使って訳させてもらった。
おかげで、英語をネイティブ言語としない地球上の大多数の人には日本語がどんな感じのものか分かる英文になっている、と勝手に思っているが、言語の専門家による批評を仰ぎたい。
