世界選手権大会選考方法 (男女シングル各３枠、ダンス・ペア各1 枠)
男女シングル選考
全日本選手権終了時に、以下の選考方法で決定し、フィギュア委員会へ推薦する。
① １人目は全日本選手権優勝者を選考する。
② ２人目は、以下のいずれかを満たす者から総合的に判断して決定する。
A) 全日本選手権２位、３位の選手
B) グランプリ・ファイナル出場者（①の選手を除く）上位２名
③ ３人目は、以下のいずれかを満たす者から総合的に判断して決定する。
A) ②のA)又はB)に該当し，②の選考から漏れた選手と全日本選手権４位〜６位の選手
B) 全日本選手権終了時点でのISU ワールド・スタンディングの日本人上位３名
C) 全日本選手権終了時点でのISU シーズンベストスコアの日本人上位３名
※ 尚、過去に世界選手権3 位以内に入賞した実績のある選手が、シーズン前半にけが等
で上記の選考対象に含まれなかった場合には、世界選手権時の状態を見通しつつ、
選考の対象に加えることがある。

We regret to inform you, that Yuzuru Hanyu from Japan has withdrawn from the competition due to the advice from his physician. We have a message from Mr. Hanyu:
"I was competing this event every year, and I always take this
opportunity very important as the first official event of the season.
However, consider the long season, I regretfully decided not to take
risks and decline my participation. I would like to express my heartfelt
sorrow that I cannot skate at my favourite country, and miss many of the figure skating fans. I will give my word that I will do my best and skate once again in Finland at near future!"
