I'm w7n from Romhacking.net, and I have some questions about SMB Hacking... I know you are the best SMB Hackers, so I am here for some help.
OK, I'll try to make it easy to understand.
1.ASMers, which tool(s) do you use to test & input codes? Is it VNES Debug?
I used NO$NES Debug, but not so good...
2.About the BGM, what does the '98 99 9A 9B 90...' after the length data '12 01 03 02 06 09 0C 04' mean(wave data?), and how to use that part of data?

And also, who is still active here?

PS: Problem with 'SMB Music Analysis' in the lab, I got a 404 file not found...?

The answer of 1:
I often hack the SMB's system, but I don't use NESASM...
I only use the binary editor, and test in Virtua NES.

The answer of 2:
7FA6-7FAA(Binary),FF96-FF9A(CPU Memory) : "98 99 9A 9B" are "Envelope Table 1".
7FAA-7FB2(Binary),FF9A-FFA2(CPU Memory) are "Envelope Table 2".
7FB2-7FDA(Binary),FFA2-FFCA(CPU Memory) are "Envelope Table 3".
"Envelope" means "Music Volume change".
"Envelope Table 1" is "world clear" music's "Envelope Table".
"Envelope Table 2" is "Ground Stage, UnderGround Stage, Castle Stage,
Cloud Stage, Star Status" music's "Envelope Table".
"Envelope Table 3" is "Sea Stage, GameOver, save the queen,
StageClear, Time left 100 seconds" music's "Envelope Table".

Let's try to change Address of 7FAA-7FB2(Binary) to "90 90 90 90 92 95 97 9C 90".
Did music become good in crisp?
