講義内容：The objective of this course is to learn the tools of modern dynamic macroeconomics
and to use these tools to answer questions. The course will develop tools needed to analyze
dynamic representative agent and heterogeneous agent general equilibrium models with
complete and incomplete markets. The course will describe the formulation of these models
and then consider substantive applications in the areas of business cycle analysis, economic
growth, monetary policy and fiscal policy. The text for this course is the second edition of
“Recursive Macroeconomic Theory” by Ljunqvist and Sargent. Additional readings will be
made available to students through the course homepage. I will assume that students have
mastered the material from the first term of Core Graduate Macroeconomics. Students will
also be expected to write Matlab programs for some of the homework assignments.
