って普通するのでしょうか?
感覚的にin以外の他の前置詞でもいいような気がしますが・・・。

という意味で、
ググってもヒット件数が多いです。慣用的に良く使うのではないでしょうか。
"out in the open" の検索結果 約 3,220,000 件

という文で、
1.このbeforeは接続詞(前置詞ではない)である
2.これを動名詞ではなく、接続詞S+Vで書くと
before it(the stock price )reaches a stable level.
または

となるのでしょうか?
