when Toto penned their song "99" in 1978, just exactly whom did they have in mind? The only person I can think of is Barbara Feldon, aka Agent 99, on "Get Smart". I agree: oh 99, I love you as well... but is she really the subject? But who else is named 99? Is it an alias, because the songwriter didn't want the subject to know about his love? I mean, if he wasn't so bashful, would the song have come out like "Oh Debbie... I love you"? So many questions, so little motivation to find out for myself.
