Johnny: I always liked "Bobo Tempo” from our fifth album "Small World". It's completely live and out of our element. We invited a few musician friends to the studio, got in one room, rolled the tape and let it rip. The song is a refence to Bolinas, California - the furthermost "left edge" of the United States - where all the hippies, ne'er-do-wells, actors, actresses, and musicians get away to "create a different reality,” you might say. I also just revisited our first release - our 1980 self-titled debut album - and I really dug “Hearts” and "Don’t Make Me Do It”! We were on to something back then (maybe didn’t even know it!) and those songs definitely cut a different path than what most bands were doing at the time. Maybe we should re-release it!
