But for the rest of us, Mr. Duke’s musical legacy stretches far, wide and diversified. He was a keyboardist, a synthesizer wizard, a trombonist, a vocalist,Michael Kors Handbags, and a contrabassist who could write, produce, arrange, compose and serve as a bandleader. He began in jazz back in 1966 with his debut album, Presented by the Jazz Workshop of San Francisco, which was credited to the George Duke Quartet and featured bass trumpeter David Simmons, bassist John Heard and drummer George Walker. By 1970 Mr. Duke began to etch his sterling reputation as a studio sideman. He was a multi-instrumentalist and background singer on 13 Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention albums, including 1971′s 200 Motels, 1975′s One Size Fits All and 1984′s Them Or Us.
