I'll be playing and at first it will show me the hp left on the monster,
have a monster health bar to the right, and exp
will pop up from the monster.

Later it will quit doing that.

Am I doing something to disable it? What do I need to do to make
sure it always does that?

Also sometimes it will stop showing buff timers.
