For "official" Gansu event, please refer to Gansu website.

Gansuの下見ハイキングや「裏イベント」もここで案内することがあります。
どなたでも企画・案内してくださってかまいませんが、できればGansuの公式行事の日やその前後日は避けてください。

This thread is to invite people to new hiking and/or other event plans in addition to official Gansu events.
Gansu's "exploring"(preliminary inspection) and unofficial Gansu events may also be announced here.
Anybody can plan and invite people to their own plan, but please try to avoid the date of the official Gansu events or the day before.

Miyajima's "the other side" exploring (inspection for January hiking)
Place: Mt. Misen and surrounding area on Miyajima island
Date: Saturday December 3rd
Conducted by :Joe

January hiking will probably be Mt. Misen AND checking historical sites and views on "the other side" of Miyajima island
which is quite off the beaten path and interesting.
In preparation of this hiking we will explore and inspect the area on December 3rd, from morning till late afternoon.
We eventually go over the mountain twice (back and forth), so it may not be an easy hiking
Please also bear in mind that it is a day before the official Gansu hiking at Mt. Hinoura.

Mt. Kamakuraji
Place: Mt. Kamakuraji in Asakita ward, Hiroshima city
Date: Saturday December 17th, from morning to late afternoon
Conducted by : Nakamura

Nakamura is checking one of future candidate hiking places, Mt. Kamakuraji.
There are several paths to be tried so it might be a relatively rough hiking.
Nakamura will go by car, but it is accessible by JR train(Shiraguchi station, Geibi line)

Trial-based Snow Hiking, for us to build experience and skills

1. Joining a snow walking event held by Mominoki forest park.
January 9th
5000 yen including transportation from Hiroshima station, lunch, onsen

With Baba-san's instruction, we try an easy snow hiking in early February,
probably at Mt. Shinnyu. Details are yet to be decided.

Ideal to bring snow shoes or crampons.
Trial hiking for experience building in a small group, with Baba-san's instructions.

Place: Mt. Kannokura on the border of Asakita ward, Hiroshima city and Akitakata City.
Date: Saturday April 14th, from morning to late afternoon

Nakamura is checking one of future candidate hiking places, Mt. Kannokura.
The place is known for cherry blossoms in the park on the top of the mountain, and paraglider facilities.
"Katakuri" flower may be in its good season as well.
Nakamura will go by JR train(Ibaraichi station, Geibi line)
