病んだ精神にとっては、身体という ‘島’ は、「溺れる者はワラをも掴む」のコトワザ通り ‘ワラ’ かもしれないが、冷や水ぶっかけられるか、往復ビンタ喰らって目が覚めた精神にとっては、脱ぎ棄てなければならない古着かもしれない。
たしかに、見方変えれば、今の病気に由来する不自由さはむしろ精神が健全になって来ている証拠かもしれない。 これを、4 つの真理へと到る道の内の一つ、 「ファキール (身体修練) の道」と呼ぶ。
