現在形の意味:
現在の状態、習慣、考え、変わらない(不変の)真実
1. Tokyo is the capital of Japan.
過去形
過去の状態、行為を表す。過去を表す副詞句を伴う。
副詞句: 副詞
形容詞: 名詞を修飾する。名詞がどんなものかを説明する。
a big box (bigが形容詞) −名詞の前にくるものが大半。The box is big. be動詞の後にくる。
句―2語以上の単語が合わさってできているもの。
副詞:動詞、形容詞、他の副詞、文全体を修飾する。
副詞句は1語ではなくて2語以上の場合。
時、場所、頻度などを表すことが多い。

【第1文型の見分け方】
第1文型はSVだが、SVだけで終わる文はまずない。

To+動詞の原形
1. 名詞用法(目的語) 他動詞の中には後にーingでなく必ずto不定詞が来る物がある。
`*不定詞は主語や補語にもなり、これらはすべて名詞用法。
下記の他動詞は、すべて後にtoが来る。

2.動詞+目的語+to不定詞の形
Want to would likeは直後にtoが続けば「―したい」という意味。

しかし、toの前に目的語を置くと、その目的語がto不定詞の主語になる。
例)
I want you to go to the party. 私はあなたにパーティーに行ってほしい。
I would like him to read the article. 私は彼にその記事を読んでもらいたい。
4.不定詞の意味上の主語
文の主語ではなく、不定詞の意味上の主語とは、不定詞の動作を誰がするかということである。不定詞の意味上の主語はtoの直前に置き、一般的にはfor+人(物)という形で表す。
It was difficult for me to understand what he was saying.
