読み終わり。27章あった。１章は5000バイト以下程度、古語が少し、詩的表現はたくさん
児童書的繰り返しが良かった。導入が素晴らしい、よく書かれてる。書き言葉系などは難しかった
２２日に少し、以降は普通ペースで、約３日かかった。
Audibleの長さは約1時間40分〜２時間＋とのこと、語数は約2万(17,000くらい？)
8/15〜8/25にかけて、Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrollを読み終わった。
言葉遊びが多い、イギリス表現も多い、そこそこ難しかった。のでほぼ１〜２章づつしか読めず
Audibleは3時間程度だったが・・・読むのは10日かかったことになる。うーむ
いちおう早く読もうとはした。
Duolingoで理解できなかった表現：
The driver at the airport welcomed me to his country.
・"welcome someone to [a place]" は定型句です。
この文脈での "The driver at the airport welcomed me to his country." は、
空港で出迎えてくれた運転手が、私に対して「ようこそ、私の国へ」という挨拶をしてくれた、という状況を表しています。
