The Tottenham forward could have shrunk following Harry Kane's exit but he stood taller instead, providing a focal point for Spurs either from the left flank or up top.
Ange Postecoglou has managed to keep him firing for the Lilywhites, with Son Heung-min still an often unstoppable force in the Premier League. He shows few signs of slowing down soon.

In February Son’s South Korea were knocked out by Jordan in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup – he had injured a finger in a fight about table tennis the previous evening. He totalled 17 goals for Tottenham last season but only five of those came in 2024, and he has started the current campaign disappointingly. Ange Postecoglou, Son’s coach at Spurs, said in May: “It’s been a big challenge for Sonny this year on lots of fronts,” and in December admitted the Korean “is not at the level so far this year that he has been in previous years”. He falls down 36 places in this year’s list. Simon Burnton
