4. Kim min-jae
Kim zeigte ein paar Schludrigkeiten im Spielaufbau, war in den Zweikämpfen aber meist da. Kurz vor der Pause bediente er Gnabry mit einem punktgenauen Steilpass und zeigte damit auch Qualitäten im Aufbauspiel. Schlecht sah der Südkoreaner wiederum im Zweikampf mit Boniface bei dessen Großchance in der 80. Minute aus.
Minjae Kim: In den ersten drei Bundesligaspielen streute der ehemalige Neapolitaner noch den einen oder Bock ein, gegen Leverkusen Kim durchgehend stabil und körperlich enorm präsent. Sattelfester als sein Pendant.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - ALEX GRIMALDO (LEVERKUSEN)
This could have quite easily have gone to Boniface who was exceptional at times and caused lots of problems for Bayern, but he wasn't clinical enough with his eight shots.
Someone who was clinical was Grimaldo, who executed his free-kick perfectly in the first half to draw the visitors level. He was the most creative player on the pitch crafting three chances, and was a handful alongside Boniface and Florian Wirtz.

L'HOMME DU MATCH
Terem Moffi (OGC Nice). Qui d'autre ? Ce vendredi soir, Terem Moffi a été au-dessus du lot. L'attaquant nigérian, débauché au FC Lorient en janvier, a été impliqué sur les trois buts de son équipe, et cela a permis au Gym de rentrer sur la Côte d'Azur avec trois points que peu pensaient en jeu.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH - TEREM MOFFI (NICE)
An easy choice. The scorer of two goals and creator of another, Moffi was the difference between the two teams. PSG's defence was justifiably terrified every time he ran at them.
L’homme du match
- Moffi (8,5) : aligné sur la pointe de l’attaque niçoise, le Nigérian était voué à servir de point d’ancrage à ses partenaires. Il faut dire que l’ancien Merlu a rempli son rôle avec brio. N’hésitant pas à décrocher pour proposer des solutions à ses coéquipiers, le Niçois a su créer des espaces dans son dos afin de chercher la profondeur. C’est d’ailleurs lui qui allume la première mèche mais sa frappe croisée est bloquée par Donnarumma (11e). Sa générosité en première période est récompensée par un but après le quart d’heure de jeu. Tel un renard des surfaces, il récupère au moment opportun une frappe contrée de Todibo avant d’enchaîner du pied droit pour crucifier, avec beaucoup de réussite, le gardien parisien (0-1, 21e). Au retour des vestiaires, il réalise un excellent travail sur le côté gauche afin de servir sur un plateau Laborde pour le deuxième but niçois (1-2, 53e). En confiance, il s’offre même un doublé à l’issue d’une belle projection individuelle dans le camp francilien (1-3, 69e). Remplacé par Boga à la 78e minute, Moffi a enfin montré qu’il était capable de s’intégrer au système imposé par son entraîneur depuis le début de la saison.
The Nigerian centre-forward didn’t see much of the ball, as has often been the case this season, however, he was efficient in his contribution. Moffi, who has seven goal contributions in his last six games made three on the night, scoring the first and the third, whilst also setting up the second. Unplayable.
It's superb from Neto who drives at the opponents down the left flank, he makes it to the byline and pulls back across goal for Hwang to fire home from a narrow angle! What a start!

Mais il a été exceptionnel en seconde période, en particulier grâce à deux accélérations dévastatrices. La première, à gauche, lui a permis d'offrir un but à Laborde (53e). Et la seconde, dans l'axe, sur un ballon de ce dernier, l'a conduit à réussir un inoubliable doublé. Ce gaucher magnifique totalise ainsi trois buts et deux passes décisives cette saison en L1. Et il peut rêver à de très beaux lendemains, comme son équipe de l'OGCN.

De bonne surprise depuis le début de la saison jusqu'à MVP de la première rencontre de l'année en Ligue des champions. Son intensité sur chaque course, son engagement sur chaque contact, son envie de bien faire à chaque ballon. Achraf Hakimi scored his side’s second after Kylian Mbappe’s opener for PSG, with the wing-back showing fine footwork inside the area before prodding home a finish with the outside of his foot.
Midfield: Jamal Musiala – Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich’s long unbeaten run in group stage games continued after beating Manchester United 4-3 at the Allianz Arena. Bayern were more dominant than the scoreline suggested, with Jamal Musiala underlining his status as one of football’s brightest young talents.
Musiala set up Bayern’s second goal of the evening after a stunning individual run, with the Red Devils unable to stop the midfielder as he drove towards goal before teeing up Serge Gnabry.
Musiala is a wonderful watch when in full flight, with the 20-year-old’s exceptional close control and balance a nightmare for opponents.
RB - Konrad Laimer (Bayern Munich)
After selling Benjamin Pavard to Inter Milan, many expected Noussair Mazraoui to become Bayern’s starting right-back, but Thomas Tuchel has opted for Konrad Laimer instead.
The Austrian played that role on occasion at RB Leipzig, but he now looks to be Tuchel’s preferred choice in that position.
Laimer made three tackles in Bayern’s 4-3 win over Manchester United, and kept the dangerous Marcus Rashford relatively quiet throughout the game. He also completed two dribbles as Bayern asserted their dominance.
LB - Achraf Hakimi (PSG)
Theo Hernandez is perhaps unlikely to miss out here, but Achraf Hakimi’s display against Borussia Dortmund was worthy of an inclusion.
The Moroccan scored his second goal of the 2023-24 season with coolness personified as he completed a one-two with Vitinha before sitting Mats Hummels down and poking the ball past Dortmund ‘keeper Gregor Kobel.
His relationship with Ousmane Dembele seems to be improving every week and Hakimi simply dominated the right flank at the Parc des Princes.
With three tackles, three interceptions and three key passes, Hakimi was active in all phases of play and is beginning to show that he is capable of playing as a full-back, rather than just as a wing-back.
CM - Vitinha (PSG)
Just like Hakimi, Portuguese star Vitinha also produced a wonderful performance in front of the Parc des Princes faithful as PSG started their Champions League campaign with all three points against Dortmund.
Vitinha ran the show from midfield and was unlucky not to score when he saw his 19th minute effort cannon off the left post. But, he was sublime throughout as his obvious talent begins to shine through under new boss Luis Enrique.
The defensive side of the team is completed by Achraf Hakimi, who was on the scoresheet in PSG's win over Dortmund, but it was his overall performance that impressed the most, boasting a pass success rate of 87%, in addition to completing three dribbles and winning three tackles.
Jamal Musiala did not score against Man United on Wednesday, but he was the best player on the pitch, providing a brilliant assist for Serge Gnabry's goal, while he was a constant menace between the lines, rarely relinquishing control of the football.

RW: Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich): Like Bayern teammate Musiala, United could barely lay a glove on Sane, who opened the scoring with some help from Andre Onana’s butterfingers. Could have had a second but his shot cannoned off the post. The German winger was a danger every time he surged forward.
CM: Vitinha, PSG
One could make a case for almost any of PSG's midfield -- they actually have one of those this season, have you ever seen the like? But it's Vitinha who gets the nod because of how redolent he is of the swift impact Luis Enrique has made on the Parc des Princes. Warren Zaire-Emery deserves particular note for the mature performance of a man a decade older than his 17 years but it's Vitinha who takes this spot for his sensational work to tee up Achraf Hakimi for the second goal.
Shaping first to shoot, he drifted into the box before an elegant backheel found Hakimi. The right back gave and went before weaving through the defense and finishing, a goal of precise construction that might well be the best of the matchday. After a slow start to life with PSG, this was just the game that Vitinha needed, a reminder of why his club spent €41.5 million to get him from Porto just over a year ago. Now that he is in a team that is more than just superstars and a supporting cast, he might well shine.
RW: Ousmane Dembele, PSG
You could make a case for any one of half a dozen PSG players making this XI, so impressive were they in putting Borussia Dortmund to the sword. Then again, Kylian Mbappe's excellence on the Champions League can rather be priced in, arguably even the same for a veteran such as Marquinhos. Given that he was making his European debut for his new club and just his fifth appearance for the French champions, his display was exceptional. No one on the pitch created more chances and few players over the entire week managed as many progressive carries as Dembele. Just look at the occasions where he moves the ball into dangerous areas in or just outside the penalty box.
No wonder Luis Enrique gave him such a glowing write-up.
"If I were a fan of any team, I would pay to see Dembele play," he said. "He has something special about him. He can miss three times, but he's a player with magic. He may want to score his first goal, but that's a normal process. He's a wonderful player."
Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain) - 8.84
Achraf Hakimi’s WhoScored rating of 8.84 makes him the fifth highest rated player in the Champions League after the first round of group stages fixtures. The Moroccan made a total of six tackles and interceptions, three key passes and three successful dribbles, and finished off a neat move for the home side in the second half confirm all three points.
Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) - 8.34
20-year-old Germany international Jamal Musiala ran riot against Manchester United at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening, completing all five dribbles he attempted, while also making three key passes and providing the assist for Serge Gnabry’s first half finish. Musiala’s impressive performance earns him a WhoScored rating of 8.34.

As Europe's elite clubs got this year's competition underway, a number of household names put in some big performances - including two players making their competition debut, Pope and Saka.
Der Kaiser: Kim Min-jae
Kim Min-jae duelled excellently against Manchester United’s forwards and mopped up every pass behind the backline. Kim did well to stand up and deal with Manchester United while Bayern struggled early on, then proceeded to make United’s forwards seem nearly invisible once Bayern took control of the game. Bayern’s newest center-back signing is certainly living up to the hype. He could do little about any of the goals.
Der Fußballgott: Joshua Kimmich
Though he was one of the numerous players who struggled early on, Kimmich was key in establishing control over the game after Bayern went in front. His defensive judgement, impressive duel win rate and ever present excellent passing were all what Bayern needed today, even if it took some time to come. And, of course, he ended up with yet another assist, sensationally chipping the ball over the United defense to Mathys Tel for what proved to ultimately be the game winner.
Der Bomber: Leroy Sané
Other players such as Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane deserve shoutouts for their good performances and goal contributions, but Leroy Sané was the one who most consistently provided danger for Bayern. Even though he didn’t hit the dizzying heights he had in many of his previous performances, Sané was always the one driving forward, poking holes in the United defense, making runs that had United’s defenders desperately racing back and threatening United’s defense repeatedly. His goal was fairly lucky and owed a lot to Onana making a mess of things, but he was then unlucky to not score with some wicked shots after that. Currently, Sané is absolutely indispensable for Bayern.
Meister of the Match: Dayot Upamecano
Upamecano deserved this redemption against Manchester United. It might seem strange that the “Meister of the Match” is a defender after conceding three goals, but there was little Upamecano could do about any of them. He was just as excellent defensively as Kim, consistently outmuscling his opponents and providing a calming presence he hasn’t always managed to do. His passing was steady and controlled even when Bayern was in disarray early on, which was absolutely vital in helping Bayern eventually settle. He even contributed by bursting up the field to set up a couple of chances.
Notably, Upamecano had a nightmare performance against United a few years back for RB Leipzig, particularly suffering against Marcus Rashford. To put in such a complete performance against them now, nullifying Rashford as well, highlights his impressive improvement over the years.

There was a controversial scene in the 82th minute yesterday where Dayot Upamecano and Leon Goretzka shouted at each other. Bayern were in control. Davies passed the ball back to Ulreich, then to Upamecano, but the Frenchman then played a risky pass to Kimmich who was marked by McTominay - Bayern briefly lost the ball until Upamecano recovered it himself. Upamecano gestured towards Leon Goretzka, complaining that the midfielder didn't offer himself for a pass - Goretzka shouted back criticizing Upamecano's risky pass to Kimmich
Christoph Freund after the game: "I noticed it. But I think that's also what makes the team is alive. There can be emotions sometimes, it’s all good."
Goretzka did not comment on the dispute on the pitch and left the stadium through a side exit without saying a word. Upamecano also said nothing about the scene

His goal and the three chances he created for his teammates earned him a player of the match gong against his former club.
CB: Milan Skriniar (PSG)
In his first continental game for PSG, Milan Skriniar proved why the French giants wanted him at the club so badly.
The defender completed 97% of his passes, won five duals and won the ball back for his team an impressive seven times. In short, he put on a clinic.
CM: Vitinha (PSG)
The 23-year-old has taken the reins of the PSG midfield since Marco Verratti's departure, and has taken to the leadership role like a duck to water.
He dictated the tempo of the game against BVB, even getting himself an assist for his troubles.

We scored after just 4 minutes, 7 goals in the end, kept a clean sheet, Kane hat-trick + 2 assists, Tel scored off the bench again, De Ligt with a goal as well.

MIN-JAE KIM – NOTE 2: Harmonierte gut mit de Ligt und stand in der Viererkette stabil wie eine Wiesnmaß auf dem Biertisch. Gut, es gibt größere Herausforderungen als den VfL Bochum, aber nach fünf Gegentoren in den letzten beiden Spielen war das Zu-Null keine Selbstverständlichkeit.

Stabilisierte die Defensive mit gewohnt ruhiger Art und war gerade in der Luft eine Macht. Traf auch in kniffligen Momenten meist die richtigen Entscheidungen und klärte vielfach kompromisslos.
Kim Min-jae, 8 – The South Korean defender looks to have settled into the Bayern backline with ease, while establishing himself as Tuchel’s most trustworthy centre-half. Comfortably dealing with Bochum’s breakaways, as well as completing all three long balls attempted, Kim Min-jae looks to be the real deal.

Auch Choupo-Moting, Leroy Sané oder Kinsgley Coman lieferten Argumente, um zum besten Münchner gekürt zu werden. Doch Kane stach noch einmal heraus. Er zeigte - gegen einen zugegeben völlig überforderten Gegner - endlich den unbedingten Willen, Tore zu erzielen. Der Rekord-Neuzugang forderte in beinahe jeder Szene den Ball, strahlte eine enorme Präsenz im Strafraum aus und stellte mit seinem Dreierpack obendrein einen Vereinsrekord (siehe oben) auf. Außerdem mit einem traumhaften Assist vor dem 4:0. Auch das 6:0 bereitete er vor.

The Canadian who apparently isn’t great at defending decided to focus on his strength, which is attacking prowess, and used it to dangerous effect. The 22-year-old was marauding up and down the left side; he made way for debutant Frans Krätzig.

For someone who caught heat in recent games, the man who is not a No. 6 has rebounded in this game. He was solid today and got the assist for Kane’s first goal.
Der Bomber: Leroy Sané
The 27-year-old got the pre-assist in the first goal and he himself scored a goal. Basically, a thorn in Bochum’s side. Sané was on it today and was going for goal every time.
Meister of the Match: Harry Kane
No doubt on who the Meister is. The England captain bagged two assists (one of which was an absolute peach of a ball for Sané’s goal) and his first hat-trick for Bayern. He could’ve had more if it weren’t for last-ditch defending from Bochum. Overall, a normal day in office for the former Tottenham Hotspur man.
MAN OF THE MATCH - HARRY KANE (BAYERN MUNICH)
He will come up against much sterner opposition in the Bundesliga, but Kane and Bayern already looks like being a very happy partnership. There has been no bedding-in phase for the England captain and he already is dovetailing perfectly with the skillful wingers at the club. The assists he got in the game will have pleased Tuchel even more than the three goals and you get the feeling it will not be the only matchball he picks up this season.
