Iris Server Transfers are now available!

We are pleased to announce the opening of character transfer service to and from Iris. Users whom wish to transfer to Iris may now go to the Value Added Service pages and complete the registration and payment for this transfer.
Please also be aware that we have modified the item limitations for all server transfers. As of July 29th, 2005 all server transfers will be included within the new Item and Transfer limitations. The following was added to the Server Transfer Terms of Service.
Limiting the number of armor and weapon types that can be transferred.
1. 3 of any base armor types (Mufflers, Boots, Chain Mail, etc.) per character.
2. 4 of any base weapon types (Claymore, Damascus, Jur, etc.) per character.
3. 1 of any god item (Mjolnir, Slepnir, etc) per character.
15 day "cool down" period in which an account can transfer from server to server. (1 account transfer per 15 days per account)
The above mention changes are active as of July 29th, 2005. Users with any questions are asked to submit a request via the Value Added Services FAQ section.

Extended Maintenance Notice, August 2, 2005

Dear iRO Users,
The maintenance period for Tuesday, August 2nd, 2005 may be extended beyond the normal maintenance period. We will be performing additional hardware maintenance for our servers which may delay the standard 2 hour maintenance period. Our estimated delay for the server maintenance is approximately 2 hours. The additional maintenance is scheduled to be completed by 1:00am (PT).
The servers will be restored as quickly as possible following the completion of the additional server maintenance.

Value Added Services Update

Attention all users,
The terms of agreement have changed for the Value Added Service Server Transfer. Some users were confused with the terms of agreement and they have been modified to be more clear. We strongly suggest any user who is interested in this service to read the new terms of agreement before requesting the Value Added Service.
We would like to inform you that we will be implementing a Skill Reset NPC for a 2 week period of time. We are doing this to help users try out, more fully, the new classes, as well as any skills that may have had their effects modified.
This NPC will be located in Geffen on all servers, and will require a small fee each time you use his service. We will keep this NPC in game starting after maintenance on Tuesday September 6th - Tuesday September 20th.

Attention iRO Users,
We would like to remind you that access to our game servers will be temporarily down during the regularly scheduled server maintenance at 9:00 PM PST. During this week`s server maintenance, the Einbroch Update will be implemented on the iRO Sakray server. Access to our game servers is scheduled to be restored after 11:00 PM PST.
We would like to explain the situation that has occurred on the RO servers.
At 11pm October 4th we implemented Einbroch on Sakray. This caused a few users sprite issues, this is normal when implementing a major update on Sakray.
At 3am (PST) October 5th, A Tier 1 provider blocked access to our ISP and servers. We are working on getting this resolved. If you are not able to access our website, game or any service, then you may be falling into that category. We hope that you contact your local ISP to ask that they see what they can do to resolve this issue. By contacting them they will contact their providers etc until that Tier 1 provider will allow access back to our ISP and servers.
At 3pm (PST) October 5th we had an internal networking issue that was causing users to be rejected from servers. We have shut down the servers for a short maintenance to resolve this issue.
We are rescheduling WoE for 5pm (PST).
We apologize for any inconvenience this chain of events may have caused you, and we are doing everything to resolve these separate issues as quickly as possible.

Clarification on the rules of Engagement for the Halloween Jakk

Dear Users,
There seems to be some amount of confusion and strong emotions regarding the Halloween Jakk that is summoned during this event.
Please bear in mind that it IS a SUMMONED monster, it is like a town invasion of sorts.
This means that technically there is not a Kill Stealing situation with this monster.
However, that does NOT mean that you should camp and attempt to kill every Jakk that is summoned, for 2 reasons.
1. Your fellow players, whom you should group with and trick or treat with, to get the cards faster from the trick or treating, will not appreciate it when you take their chances at getting a hat.
Honestly you would all have more fun grouping together, and killing the Jakk giving the Hat to a party member and repeating until all have the hat.
2. We are accepting reports for harassment regarding this issue. You will get 1 warning, after that suspensions will be used, and further reports will result in a longer suspension period. Do NOT inhibit others from completing the quest.
There are some users that are trying to help other, less powerful, kill the Jakk and give the hat to them, to those people thank you. But to those killing the Jakk to harm other players ability to play we will be dealing with you shortly.
Also please do not put up chats/vends within 8 cells of the deviruchi, it makes it difficult to find him.

We have posted the Tournament bracket for the USRC battles on Friday 11/04/2005. Please note the times, all teams must be ready to fight 45 minutes before their scheduled battles.
USRC Tournament Bracket
After the battles on Friday we will be reseeding all teams to keep teams from having multiple bys in the tournament. This reseeding will be done between each round of battles.
We will be updating the schedule for the Saturday battles after the battles are completed on Friday. Please check the website after 7pm PST on 11/04/2005 to find out when the teams are fighting on Saturday.
Also the item requisition form is only for the teams that win their bracket on their server, after Saturdays battles are completed.

A few weeks ago some users encountered some issues regarding connectivity. These issues were caused by peering issues from two large Tier 1 ISPs. This prevented some of our users from accessing the iRO Webpage as well as the iRO Game Servers. On October 28, 2005 these issues were finally resolved and all operations have returned back to normal. Happy Holidays to you all!
Soon all the Towns of Rune-Midgard will be in full Holiday Regalia, we hope that you all decide to dress accordingly! This year brings many Holiday quests you can do to help many people in Rune-Midgard who are having problems getting their Party on. These quests are supposed to bring out the spirit of togetherness and cooperation in each of us. We do hope that every does enjoy themselves with their friends and neighbors.
One person of fame, Antonio, seems to be a little shy this year, we think it`s due to Santa giving him a firm talking to. Antonio stopped stealing Santa`s toys, and Santa decided to call off the bounty on Antonio`s head. Even Antonio deserves a Holiday break every few years.
With that in mind we would like to bring to your attention one quest that will be happening in Prontera. There will be a monster(s) summoned by an NPC, much as they were in the Halloween event. Technically, they will be Free For All monsters, because they are summons, so nobody "owns" them. We know this will upset many users that do not think the quest should be done this way. We apologize but this is not a choice that the GM Team was allowed to make, this is a Global Event meaning every RO server is getting this same quest set, each RO server can choose to use the quests or not use them. We chose to have the quests and hope that the community will play nice with one another for 2 weeks, rather than have no Christmas events.
The GM Team would like to sincerely wish that everyone cooperate, help others and not inhibit them from completing the quest and getting to enjoy their reward (ie spreading the Christmas cheer with a few well placed swings to all the monsters).
But we realize that some users won`t be content to watch others do this, or wait until they are asked for help (which is highly likely to happen if you aren`t a Grinch). To those users that want to spread nothing but discontent on this; the time of giving and togetherness, to you we say Humbug, may every monster you fight be worth no experience and the Jellopies run dry for you?
