Though it's really hard and challenging difficulty.
As the extra dungeon is also hard, you might go there on Normal or Hard difficulty.

I think I found my way to the extra dungeons.
I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but it's possible to reach it by having clear data without playing a second time.
I still have some costumes to unlock, and there's a very interesting looking character at the end of the credits that I have not found yet...

Maniac sounds difficult so I'll do Hard next and work my up (lol).
I was very surprised to see a Challenge mode and so many post-game extras!

Yes, with cleardata, you can enter there both in new game and exsting data.
The last three monsters are in the extra dungeon.
And you can get the mimic monsters of the main characters in the star medal room by completing each character's route.

I played the game last year on Hard and now I'm replaying it on Maniac and trying to avoid using the same monsters I had used before. It is a lot of fun. I can't really tell what exactly is different besides being generally a bit harder, though. Can you explain what is different between difficulties?

The difference between difficulties are mainly the status of the enemies,
and some of the enemies use stronger skills on harder difficulties.

You can see each monster's affinity by checking the heart symbol in their status window.

Open the file called Game.ini and change the language field.
Language=English for English, or Language=Japanese for Japanese.

The monsters who are included in that message will get affinity.
But it's faster you fight weak monsters to increase affinity.
Hi, i have a question regarding the setting "Max affinity monster view".
I have set it to "Underwear" but i don't understand how it works, i have many monster with max affinity ( rainbow heart ) but during battle they get Wrecked as usuall, nothing changed.
Is this setting valid only for your friendly monsters or also for the moster you usually fight ?

If you bring your friend monster with their affinity max (and that setting is underwear),

The sewer map doesn't have any special mechanic, you can just go through there.
But as the routes of the map are narrow, you might have missed some routes.
After you saw Ast there, if you go straight the way, you can unlock a shortcut.
Then you should go toward the second shortcut which is in the left of the start point of the map.
About the second question, there are some strategy guides which players made.
(Their URLs are in the top information area of this forum)
Though they are only in Japanese.

Basically you can see some extra scenes by staying at an inn with a party of certain monsters at max affection.

For example, avoidance, hit, critical rate, debuff rate etc.
As it's influence is a little bit, usually players can't notice that.

You can see those combinations in the patch note.
I think when you rest at the inn with Bee Fighter, Honey Bee, Spark Bee with their affinity max, the scene will be played.
I'm loving SxM2 so far! My favorites are Jin and Eight!
I wish the 1st event could have a choice where Jin joins Eight bathing.

What i meant is that the monsters should be in wrecked clothing after resting at an inn but the clothing break bar that affects defence should be full.

The similar function is in the game.
You can see "Always Wrecked View" in the config screen, with that setting, allied monsters will be displayed as wrecked state without affecting their defense.
(it's only for monsters whose affinity is max.)
