Invalid results from MacOS and UNIX client: Thanks to all MacOS and UNIX users for testing and giving feedback. Currently most results from MacOS clients and several results from UNIX clients cannot be validated due to minor differences to results from Linux and Windows. This is due to different rounding and is hard to solve consistently for all CPU/OS types. So we will improve the validator that compares the different results for the same workunit. In the future also similar results (same results except on rounding differences) will be successfully validated. The new validator will be implemented soon, we hope to get it ready on friday. All MacOS and UNIX users should suspend their calculations during the next days to avoid more invalid results.

New SIMAP client for Mac OS v5.09 released: A new Mac OS client has been compiled that fixes a library problem on MacOS 10.3.9. The new Mac OS client should run much faster than v5.08 due to higher compiler optimization level. We hope that the new client will run on all Apple Hardware platforms. In case of any problems, please report them in our message boards.

NOTE: We are currently doing some testing of a new application called dTASSER on 32 bit linux, 64 bit linux, MacOS X G4 and G5, MacOS X Intel. We are also in the process of upgrading the boinc server software to version 5.9.2. In the process of the testing and upgrades the web site may have problems.
There are 10,000 short dtasser test jobs waiting to be run. When these finish we will look at the output and make whatever adjustments that are needed before sending out more. Windows versions of dTASSER will follow as soon as we can figure out how to compile it.
