We would like to clarify a few problems that a some users have been
experiencing regarding the new payment system and the card codes that are
required for the payment process.
The security or card code is usually located on the back of the credit card. The
code itself is a 3 digit number usually following the last 4 digits of your credit card
number. For example, if the credit card number is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-1234, on the back
of the credit card there should be a code that looks similar to 1234
ABC. The ABC, in the example, is the number that is required. However, this applies to all
credit cards except American Express. The security code on American Express
cards are located on the front of the card, above the credit card number.
Please make sure that all information in the fields provided on the payment page
is entered exactly as it appears on the credit card and credit card statement. Any
mistakes in entering this information may result in an error.

We would like to inform you that we will be holding a warping service event
starting on October 3rd at 4pm PST. This event will warp to many of the lower
level dungeons for a small price. This event will end on October 7th during the
server maintenance period. We will take the servers down at 3pm PST on
October 3rd to add this NPC into Prontera.
This announcement is to inform users that we have successfully implemented
our Dungeon Teleport Event. Keep an eye out for these Dungeon Teleport NPC's
in specific town locations. We hope all users will enjoy this event that we have
added.
We are happy to announce that we are implementing the 2-1 job quests for the
Knight and Assassin class on the Sakray server. The update will be during our
next maintenance on Tuesday, October 7th, 2003.
The patch will be first tested on the Sakray server for bug testing. We ask that all
users please report any bugs or issues that may be encountered during this
time for the job quests.
After we have fixed any possible bugs with the Knight and Assassin quests, we
will implement another set of job quests for the other 2-1 job classes. Again,
please make sure to report and possible bugs or found issues while attempting
the 2-1 job quests so that we may include all the 2-1 job quests as quickly as
possible.
Once all job quests have finished testing, they will be implemented on the
Chaos and Loki servers. Good luck and happy hunting!
Server Maintenance Update

During the server maintenance on 10/07/03 at 9:00PM PST we will remove the
Dungeon Warp event NPC's. We will also fix some minor bugs within the game
at this time. The job quests for the Knight and Assassin will be added to the
Sakray servers during the maintenance period. And users with bugs regarding
the Knight and Assassin job quest change on Sakray should use the GM Mailing
Service, or post on the Bug Report Board describing the bug if full detail.
Since it is the month of October, and Halloween is approaching. We will be
accepting Halloween related in-game loading screen images from Oct. 10th to
Oct. 19th.
This is your chance to have your artwork displayed to all iRO players, and maybe
even scare a few in the process.
All images submitted for this event must meet the following requirements:
1. Image resolution must be in 640x480
2. Images must be in 24bit .jpg format
3. All Artwork must be original (Copyrighted drawings, images, backgrounds, etc will not be applicable.)

PvP Event on all servers!

Attention Users,
We would like to inform all players that we will be holding a PvP event from
November 12th to 17th.
This event will roughly consist of the following:
All users, at any point in time, may be spawned unexpectedly to fight in a One vs.
One, Player vs. Player battle.
This event consists of no holds bard fighting! In other words, there is no level
limit. A level 50 player may be spawned in to fight a level 30 player, or vice versa.
Healing items will be provided for the player who survives each battle. Any player
lasting more than 10 battles will receive a reward. Players who die will receive
nothing.
Once a player receives a reward for surviving 10 rounds, he/she will be
teleported out of the PvP room to a random location.
Please remember that not all players will have a chance to participate, and thus,
it is highly likely that you may not be teleported to fight in these last man standing
battles. But stay alert as you never know when you will be thrown into battle!

In recognition of the Thanksgiving Holiday, we will be accepting Thanksgiving

trying to renew or start subscribing to Ragnarok Online. Our Credit Card service
provider has stopped accepting any Visa and MasterCard transactions, made by
Gravity Interactive LLC., due to the massive amount of charge backs made by
users submitting fraudulent subscription payments. We can still accept Credit
Card transactions from American Express and Discover Cards. However, we will
not be able to accept Visa and MasterCard transactions until January 1, 2004.
There are several alternative payment options available on the payment page.
American Express and Discover Credit Card can still be used as well as the Pay
by Cash services. If these alternative methods are not accessible or convenient
for you, we ask for your patience until the other methods are available.

War of Emperium and Maintenance Update

Dear iRO Users,
We are announcing that during tomorrows weekly maintenance, January 6h,
2004, we will be conducting the maintenance one hour earlier at 8:00 PST to
11:00 PST due to the amount of updates that are being implemented.
Guilds wishing to participate in Guild Wars will need to learn the Guild Skill of
Official Guild Approval. Please check the Features link on our official website for
Guild War changes to skills as well as effects. Users will not be able to see
damage given or taken from players and monsters while in the Guild War maps.
Knock back skills will not push players or monsters away as well as Provoke
and Endure will not work while in the Guild War maps. Users looking to
participate in Guild Wars will notice changes and should view the Features link
on our official website for those changes.
For Sakray users the Guild War times are set as such, Monday and Friday
between 7:00PM and 9:00PM PST and Wednesday and Sunday between 2:00AM
and 4:00AM PST. Note that these times are set for the testing period for Sakray
and may or may not be the times and dates used for Chaos or Loki. We hope
these times accommodate for all of our users to enjoy the Guild Wars experience.

We are glad to announce that the Guild Wars update on the Sakray server was
completed successfully. We would like to remind all 3 servers to check the

Dear iRO Users,
During the week of January 20th through January 27th we will be celebrating the
Lunar New Year. This being the Year of the Wood Monkey, we have a small event
that will be held during the week. The event NPCs will be located in each town for
users to talk to. We hope you join us for this celebration of the Lunar New Year.
The event will be placed on all servers during the January 20th server
maintenance and will be removed during January 27th server maintenance.
Beginning on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 11:00 PM PST, our servers will be
down as maintenance is performed on the network of our Internet Service
Provider. We have been notified that this maintenance is required by the circuit
provider of our ISP, and will be conducted by their fiber provider company.
Connectivity to the iRO game servers is scheduled to be restored by 7:00 AM on
January 23, 2004. We appreciate your cooperation and patience throughout
the duration of this outage.

Hello, this is the iRO GM Team.
The submission for the Valentine's Day Real Picture Event has officially ended.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone for those who submitted their couple
pictures for this event.
We received 200 entries and we narrowed it down to 159 entries. The iRO GM
Team has chosen 20 couples from the 159 entries for the loading screen event.
The remaining 139 entries has been uploaded onto the event section of the
main website. You can also view these images by clicking on the banner on the
index page.
The 20 couples that has been selected to be on the loading screen will be
implemented on the 14th of February, Valentine's Day.
These 20 couples will receive Ragnarok Online Offline products as a small prize.

We would like to clarify a few problems that a some users have been
experiencing regarding the payment system and the payment process.
Before accessing the payment page, please make sure that your internet
browser supports 128 bit SSL encryption and that it is enabled on the browser. If
you are using Internet Explorer, you can find these options located under the
Tools>Internet Option. Under the advanced tab, in the security section, make
sure that the boxes for SSL have been checked.
Please make sure that all information in the fields provided on the payment page
is entered exactly as it appears on the credit card and credit card billing
statement. Any mistakes while entering this information may result in an error.
Please take note of the following information which will help reduce the
problems occurring from the payment page:
1) For US residents, please make sure that when you enter the state information,
the entry must be in abbreviated form (i.e. California would be CA).

St.Patrick`s Day Event

We have some special events coming up in celebration of St. Patrick`s day!!
We will be having three different events starting on March 16th, 2004 for one
week ending on March 23rd, 2004 after the normally scheduled maintenance.
1) There will be an NPC that will dye your hair green in celebration of St. Patrick`s day. Don`t get pinched!
2) Set forth on a quest given to you by one of our NPCs and be rewarded with a four leaf clover!
3) A very special treat, certain monsters will be dropping a very rare and very
valuable item called a Gold Coin. Much like the leprechauns, Gold Coins are a
source of great luck and have been heard to bring great wealth to those lucky
enough to find them.
We hope that all of you partake and enjoy these events. The Gold Coins are a
special item that is not normally found! We will leave the discovery of which monsters drop them for you to find out!
We are pleased to announce that we will be implementing the anticipated Juno
update on the Sakray server on March 23, 2004. The tentative date for the
addition of the Juno Update on the Chaos and Loki servers is April 13, 2004.
New job classes and monsters will accompany the addition of the majestic city
nestled amongst the clouds, Juno. The new talents and strengths inherent in
these new alternative job classes will bring renovation to cooperative gameplay,
as well as player versus player battles.

On March 15th 2004, we will be introducing our new webpage as scheduled. Our
new webpage will contain new features and more information to assist our
users` about Ragnarok Online. We will be announcing upcoming events which

We have gathered many ideas from our users by Free BBS, and the GM Mailing
Service. We hope that this new webpage will answer our users` problems and
questions, and we ask our users to be more involved in using our new webpage,
and our upcoming events.

We would like to announce our New Website Launching Event which will be accompanying the
opening of the new iRO official website. We will be encouraging players to report possible errors
that may be found on the new website, such as typos, broken links, and inaccurate information.

We regret to inform those users on Chaos that
War of Emperium siege times will not be active
starting Saturday March, 20th due to technical reasons.
All siege times for Chaos will be disabled.
Once issues regarding the Chaos server have been
addressed and corrected, War of Emperium sieges
on Chaos will be fully functional once again.
We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause
users. We hope to have these issues taken care of
as soon as possible.
When these issues are corrected, compensation
will be given to the users of Chaos and a follow up
as to the current status of Chaos will be announced.
We regret to inform users that due to the recent issues
regarding the siege times for War of Emperium, the Sakray
test server will not be updated with the Juno content on
March 23rd.
We are working on correcting these issues and we estimate
the Juno content to be implemented by April 6, 2004 on Sakray.
Once Sakray is updated with the Juno content, Chaos and Loki
servers will have the Juno content implemented soon after.
All updated content will be implemented during our Scheduled
Weekly Server Maintenance period.
Chaos siege times for War of Emperium are still delayed at
the present time. Currently, we do not have a time estimate
as to when the siege times will be enabled. We are working
on correcting this issue and hope to have the siege times
enabled as soon as possible.
When these issues have been corrected, a follow up
as to the current status of Chaos War of Emperium and
Juno will be announced.

We would like to announce the implementation of the Juno update to the Sakray server on April 6th, 2004. We are excited to bring the Juno update to the Sakray server at this time. The addition of Episode 5 comes with a lot of exciting changes and many new additions to the game. We will update all the Juno changes and additions under the iRO Updates section with in the next couple of days.
As with this large update the patch files for Juno will also be large. We are planning to release a Juno update patch for the Sakray users. The Juno patch file will be offered here on the website as a direct link. We ask that users playing on the main servers not update their client with the patch file. The patch file is strictly for users who are playing on the Sakray server. We will announce the update files as well as the specific release date for the Chaos and Loki servers in the coming weeks.

Juno Patch for Sakray Client Program

We would like to announce that the Juno Patch for the iRO Sakray client program is now available for download. The installation of this patch will be required for the implementation of the Juno Update on the Sakray server which is scheduled for April 6, 2004. We would like to inform the users that we have updated our Rules and Regulations page as well as our User Agreement. The update pertains to users caught using 3rd party programs. Users are reminded that the use of any 3rd party program is not tolerated. Users need to also be aware that this update happened on April 2nd and the change in the regulations applies to all of the International Ragnarok Online users.
